To use international roaming facility you need to have ISD service activated on your phone.
Using your handheld while roaming
Switch off and then switch on the CDMA/ GSM handset to roam on GSM partner networks. In case you are unable to make calls, follow the steps given below :

This process will enable the customers to roam on CDMA partner networks. Please note PRL should be downloaded at least 24 hours before departure. |

The above mentioned tariff is in Indian Rupees and is indicative & subject to change without notice by the visited operator.
Call forward charges from India to roaming country will apply in case of incoming calls.
Tariff mentioned above is exclusive of 'surcharge', currently at 15% of the total usage and service tax.

BlackBerry World Edition 8830 Dual Mode CDMA and GSM roaming
The world phone empowers the business user to travel wherever roaming exists worldwide .In countries where a CDMA roaming partner exists, the BlackBerry World Edition 8830 will latch on to the CDMA network and in other places the BlackBerry World Edition 8830 will latch on to a GSM partner network ensuring, the business user is connected any time ,anywhere.
The BlackBerry World Edition 8830 will have a GSM SIM card provided at the time of purchase. There will be a single number for both CDMA and GSM network.
Activation of the SIM Card will be as per the applicable norm for CDMA International Roaming . A deposit will be applicable as per the customer category .
You have the choice of getting the SIM activated or calling Reliance customer care at 30336363 for activation of International Roaming by quoting the SIM number (printed on the SIM) .

How will the BlackBerry World Edition 8830 work in the USA ?
- Go to BlackBerry icon on your main screen of your BlackBerry World Edition 8830..
- Then go to Options in the menu
- Select mobile network
- Go to Network mode
- Select 1X EV.
The World Phone will work with Verizon network in the USA. In the USA only CDMA 1xEV can be selected.
How will the BlackBerry World Edition 8830 work in Europe? – In countries such as Italy, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, etc .
- Go to Applications (BlackBerry icon) on your main screen of your BlackBerry World Edition 8830..
- Then go to Options in the menu
- Select mobile network
- Go to Network mode
- Select GSM.
Please ensure that a capital GPRS appears. In case a lower case gprs appears, the BlackBerry World Edition 8830 will be on voice roaming only and an appropriate data roaming partner needs to be selected to manually enable email.
For manual selection
- Go to Applications (BlackBerry icon) on your main screen of your BlackBerry World Edition 8830..
- Then go to Options in the menu
- Select mobile network
- Go to Network Selection Mode.
- Choose manual roaming and select a data roaming partner from the list on the website.
